Web Analytics at its best: A tale of ClickTale

A dream of every website administrator is that he or she could totally understand the actions of his or her website visitors/customers and thus optimize his or her content to satisfy their needs. It is a tricky and a time consuming work to analyze a website or blog totally by yourself and normally all that you can do is track the conversions through links. An Internet company called ClickTale has developed an entirely new approach towards website analytics. They have created a new tracking system with which you can actually see what your customers are doing. Can you feel the power of this tool? Read on.

Apparently a website administrator’s dream is not that far away. I was amazed at the functionality that ClickTale service offers. Most of the website analytics programs offer tracking system that is built upon charts, graphs and statistics, which of course do reveal the performance of your website but fail to prove why it actually performs that way! ClickTale has made a step forward. They focus on a visual presentation of your visitors actions. That includes actual mouse movements, scrolls, clicks and even gap fills if you have some kind of a form.

It looks like if you would be watching over their shoulders. This opens a whole new perspective of website optimization. You can now see what do people like on your website, where do they hang out for the longest period of time, where do they click the most. It makes tracking so easy because you can see what’s happening. Before that, you could only visualize whats happening on your site based on the assessment of the statistics. Things have changed for the better at least.

At first I thought that the ClickTale service will be too complex for me to use but it is actually very easy to use. Their interface is very user-friendly, vivid and easy to get into.

For me it was a short learning curve. I remember the feeling I’ve had when interacting with the videos. I almost felt like a spy! Really, it was a scary thing to watch the mouse movements simply because I was never used to it. Now I believe I couldn’t live without it. There were so many things that I’ve changed on my site because I could see what’s not working properly or what’s not being properly put from the customer’s point of view.

I see ClickTale as a must have for every serious blogger, internet marketer that wishes to boost his sales and improve his website conversions. Best thing of all is that you can give it a free test drive. That’s right, everyone can try this remarkable tool and I guarantee you that you will be surprised by it’s functionality if not you can simply move onto some other web analytics tool, but before that I suggest you at least try it!
